Educator, Speaker, and Agent of Change.
Restoring Grace Owner and Chief Restorative Officer, Elizabeth Mays, facilitates conversations that bring healing, peace, and restoration. She hopes to change the hearts of people by building genuine connections, promoting empathy, and showing unconditional love to everyone.
Prior to founding Restoring Grace, she had the privilege of working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and adjunct instructor with Bluegrass Community and Technical College. During her tenure, she realized the importance of relationships; especially with the families she served.
Her passion for connection and her love of people led her to become a licensed facilitator in Restorative Practices and Restorative Justice from the International Institute of Restorative Practices.
She holds a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education specializing in cultural pluralism and multicultural education from the University of Kentucky.
Elizabeth also caters to her community through volunteerism; serving at a local food bank and on various boards and councils. She is a member of several community-centered organizations including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
In addition to being a peacemaker and educator, Elizabeth is a self-proclaimed chef. She loves spending her time creating in the kitchen with her daughter, and pretending she is a food critic while dining out with her closest friends.
